We are very much happy to launch our website on a great historic day that is 17th March, the birthday of our beloved father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibar Rahman. Before saying something I want to express my heartily honour and love to the greatest bangali of all time and our salute to the freedom fighters who snatched our victory through a blood shed war in 1971.
We live in the age of information technology. Information is the unit of knowledge. In this knowledge based world no development can be dreamt of. Our present government is dreaming of a digital Bangladesh to ensure the quality, quantity and transparency of its services through different organs. Police department is one of most vital organ in the government machineries. It has a long legacy of upholding the rule of law in this country. Though it was created to satisfy the interest of the then colonial authority, day by day this department has been changing through some positive transformation. From the uniform to arms, from the equipment to activities, in everything we are no more the police of yesterday. With the touch of modern technological supports our thoughts, activities, investigations got a smarter and effective attire. We want to prove that we are also in the march to the millennium development goal to assist our government. District Police Kurigram has just entered in the fourth decade of its birth. I am the 22nd person to hold the Chair of Superintendent of Police. Kurigram is a border District of Northern part of Bangladesh. It is one of the eight districts of Rangpur Division. The socio-economic condition of this District is not up to the mark. But recently by the effort and initiatives of present government this condition is ameliorating gradually.
Our main objective to introduce this webpage is only to ensure our service to the general people. It will be a wonderful opportunity to come closer to them, to know them and to ensure a peaceful life through some digital developments and activities.
